US President George W Bush arrived in Slovenia on Monday at the start of an eight-day European tour designed to affirm
trans-Atlantic ties before he leaves office in January.
Air Force One touched down at Brnik airport outside Ljubljana, the Slovenian
capital, just before 9 pm (1900 GMT). Bush was greeted on the tarmac by
Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa.
The US president's schedule includes a summit with top European Union officials
in Slovenia on Tuesday. Other stops are Germany, France, Italy and Britain, dpa reported.
