Georgia, Tbilisi, 12 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Six people, including one child, died during bombing of Gori city on 12 August, Georgian State Minister for Reintegration Temur Yakobashvili said at a briefing on 12 August.
Yakobashvili urged the people in the occupied territories not to contact with the Russian invaders. "Medvedev stated that he would withdraw the troops. The occupation will finish for us only after the last invader has left Georgia," Yakobashvili said.
According to the State Minister, it is necessary to technically solve the armistice issues, which will take much time and diplomatic efforts.
He stressed that the aggression included three components - military, diplomatic and informational. "Our servicemen did more than we expected from them in military terms. They destroyed large number of enemies, but we are not kamikazes and did not want them to die. Russia failed to seize Tskhinvali and 30,000 servicemen and 1,000 units of heavy military equipment were brought to Georgia. We decided to regroup our troops and they evaded aggressor's destructive blows," Yakobashvili said, stressing that the troops were fully protected and are combat-ready at the moment.
Yakobashvili stressed that Georgia implicitly won the diplomatic and informational war. "Nobody questions Georgia's territorial integrity in the world. Therefore, the talks rule out loss of anything," Yakobashvili said and noted that Georgia's mat get an opportunity at the international scene to get new dividends in the light of recent events.
