Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Pakistani Prime Minister Yusif Rza Gilani met in Islamabad on May 13. The sides discussed the development of economic ties between the two countries, the Afghan AVAPress news agency reported.
Karzai made visit to Pakistan as head of the Afghan delegation to attend the 3rd meeting of the conference on regional cooperation in order to help Afghanistan.
At the meeting the sides also held discussions on joint collaboration in the field of security against the Taliban faction.
Pakistan is ready to provide assistance to Afghanistan in the amount of $300 million for economic development and reconstruction work in the country, Gilani said at the opening ceremony of the 3rd session of the conference on regional cooperation in order to help Afghanistan.
