Taliban outfit once again calls on Afghans to boycott election

Taliban insurgents once again repeated their threat to disrupt the election and called on Afghans to boycott the voting, according to a statement released by a Taliban outfit from unknown location to media Tuesday, Xinhua repored.
"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (name of ousted Taliban regime) once again is calling on Afghans to boycott the phony U.S.- backed election,"the statement added.
It added that all the Mujahidin (holy warriors) have been assigned to thwart the electoral process.
This is the third time since late July the militants by issuing statements calling on Afghans to boycott the voting held amid tight security on Thursday, Aug. 20.
