The XXI Olympic Winter Games were officially closed on Sunday by International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge, dpa reported.
Rogge named the February 12-28 Games "excellent and very friendly" and called upon the youth of the world to reconvene in 2014 for the next Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
