Italian police bomb experts were dispatched Wednesday to investigate a "suspicious package" found at the United States Embassy to the Vatican in Rome, dpa reports.
The alarm follows last week's explosions of parcel bombs at the Swiss and Chilean embassies, and the discovery and deactivation of a similar device at the Greek embassy on Monday.
An Italian anarchist group claimed responsibility for last week's blasts, in which two people were injured.
Since then, several embassies in the Italian capital have reported "suspicious" parcels that were later found to be false alarms.
