12 injured in series of bomb explosions in Ukraine
At least 12 people were injured Friday as four bombs exploded within minutes in crowded areas of the Ukrainian industrial city of Dnipropetrovsk, local media reported.
The first bomb went off at a tram stop, and was hidden in a trash can, police said. At least three more blasts followed, including one at a railway station, the Unian news agency reported.
Unconfirmed news reports said the explosions were linked to gas mains, and placed the death toll at 17 people, including three children, DPA reported.
Dnipropetrovsk is located about 400 kilometres south-east of the capital Kiev.
