Turkey strongly condemned a series of bombing which killed more than 40 in Iraq, said a Turkish Foreign Ministry statement Monday, Xinhua reported.
"We strongly condemn nefarious terrorist attacks that targeted peace and stability in Iraq. We are concerned about the escalation of violence in this country," said the statement.
The ministry urged all parties in Iraq to stay away from terrorism and violence.
At least 49 people were killed and more than 260 wounded in a series of deadly bomb attacks across Iraq on Monday, raising fear for a return of sectarian bloodshed between Sunni and Shiite communities.
