Azerbaijan's position in connection with the "Freedom Flotilla" fully meets Turkey, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press-conference in Istanbul, CNN Turk TV channel reported.

The international humanitarian convoy moving to the Gaza Strip seized by the Israeli navy led to the deaths of nine activists, eight of them - Turkish citizens.

The international community has called for conducting a thorough investigation of the incident. Despite the harsh criticism of Turkey and several European countries, the Israeli leadership said that Israeli soldiers acted in self-defense.

Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the position of Azerbaijan in these events, which supported Turkey, along with other countries.

Erdogan said that the world support testifies the importance of what happened to these countries.

"Israel's actions were directed against the whole world, not only against Turkey," Erdogan said.
