Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday evening arrived in Bosnia to participate in the mourning commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the massacres of Muslims in Srebrenica, Cihan news agency said.
About 8,000 Muslims were killed in Srebrenica in July 1995 as a result of the operation of the Bosnian Serb army led by General Ratko Mladic. The siege of Srebrenica and the subsequent mass killings of the male population of the city are considered one of the bloodiest episodes of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995).
