Thirteen people were arrested in Istanbul during the special operation of Turkey security forces, TRT Haber television reported on Saturday.

The detainees are suspected in involvement in several terrorist attacks and in support of terrorists from Kurdistan Workers' Party.

Fighters of Kurdistan worker's Party systematically organize acts of terror against the civilian population and against the security forces.

Since September 22, military wing of terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) a radical group Kurdistan Liberation Hawks claimed responsibility for the explosion in Ankara, in which three people were killed and 34 were wounded.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has been on-going for more than 25 years, claiming over 45,000 lives. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by both the UN and the EU.

PKK fighters have repeatedly threatened the Turkish authorities to intensify armed conflict, if Turkey doesn't take concrete steps to solve long-term Kurdish problem.
