The female bomber who committed a suicide attack in Turkey's Istanbul city was a Russian citizen Diana Ramazova, Turkish Interior Ministry said on Jan.8.
A female suicide bomber carried out an attack on Istanbul tourism police located in the historic Sultanahmet on Jan. 6, leaving one police officer dead and one more injured.
Previously, it was reported that the suicide attack was carried out by Elif Sultan Kalsen - a student of one of the Turkish universities.
It was earlier reported that the suicide bomber took a taxi, spoke using Russian words, and pretended to be pregnant, according to Turkish law enforcement agencies.
