Presidential system to strengthen Turkey – Erdogan

Presidential system of government will strengthen Turkey, the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, adding that the country needs to switch to the mentioned system, TRT Haber TV channel reported Apr.9.
Earlier, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu also said that the country's moving to the presidential system is necessary, since the parliamentary system doesn't meet Turkey's interests.
Moreover, before the presidential election in Turkey in August 2014, the country's then prime minister Erdogan said that moving to the presidential system can promote the country's further development.
Currently, the legislative power in Turkey belongs to the unicameral parliament - the Grand National Assembly.
