Saying that the terrorist organizations operating in the north of Syria – PYD and YPG – did not subject the territory of Turkey to rocket fire, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson voiced the version of the terrorists, Turkish media quoted country’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu as saying Jan. 23.
Cavusoglu stressed that instead of quoting the terrorists, the US should trust the facts that Turkey provides them.
The minister further said that the PYD and YPG terrorist organizations are a real threat for Turkey.
Earlier, PYD and YPG terrorists targeted the Turkish province of Hatay with a rocket fire, as a result of which one person was killed.
On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched a military Operation Olive Branch in Afrin.
F-16 fighter planes of the Turkish Air Force, which are inflicting air strikes on the positions of PYD on the Syrian-Turkish border, are involved in the operation.
