Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 25
By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:
Mankind has lost faith in the UN’s solving conflicts, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in New York Sept. 25.
He was making speech at a session of the UN General Assembly, Turkish media reported Sept. 25.
Erdogan noted that the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, as well as in Palestine, prove this once again.
He said that the UN needs serious reforms.
“The world shouldn’t depend on the five permanent members of the UN Security Council,” the Turkish president said.
Erdogan also noted that for the security of mankind it is necessary to restore justice in the world, and Turkey does everything for this.
He added that Turkey is making every effort to solve crises in the world.
“There are 3.5 million Syrian refugees in Turkey,” Erdogan said. “Turkey upkeeps Syrian refugees at its own expense.”
