Iranian, Iraqi citizens buy about 8,000 real estate properties in Turkey

In January-August 2019, citizens of Iran and Iraq purchased 7,800 real estate properties in Turkey, Trend reports referring to Turkish General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre.

According to the general directorate, in January-August 2019, Iranian citizens purchased 3,100 real estate properties in Turkey, while Iraqi citizens purchased 4,700 real estate properties.

“In January this year, Iranian citizens purchased 305 real estate properties in Turkey, in February - 307, in March - 334, in April - 332, in May - 509 real estate properties,” the report said. “In June this year, 415 real estate properties were acquired, in July - 464 and in August - 469 real estate properties.”

In January this year, Iraqi citizens purchased 605 real estate properties in Turkey, in February - 628, in March - 548, in April - 533, in May - 594, in June - 429, in July - 734 and in August - 675 real estate properties.

In August 2019, 110,500 real estate properties were sold in Turkey, which is 5.1 percent more compared to August 2018. Some 3,604 real estate properties were sold to foreigners in Turkey in August 2019, which is 6.8 percent less compared to August 2018.
