From January through September 2019, 99,421 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Turkey to Syria, which is 18 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
Some 38.77 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment from Turkey by trucks accounted for Syria in the reporting period.
From January through September 2019, 4,912 Turkish trucks transported cargoes from Syria, which is 1.2 times more compared to the same period of 2018.
According to UND, 934,404 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad from January to September 2019, which is 5 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.
From January through September 2019, the share of cargo transported from Turkey by Turkish trucks accounted for 77.60 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment by vehicles.
Some 269,653 foreign trucks transported cargo across Turkey from January through September 2019, which is 3 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.
From January through September 2019, the share of cargo transportation from Turkey by foreign trucks amounted to 22.40 percent.
During the reporting period, 300,673 Turkish trucks transported cargo from foreign countries.
