A total of 255 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through April 2020, which is 98 companies less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
The total capital of the Iranian companies registered in Turkey from January through April 2020 amounted to 39.6 million Turkish liras ($5.8 million) compared to 46.09 million Turkish liras ($6.7 million) in the same period of 2019.
From January through April 2020, most of the Iranian companies were registered in Istanbul (227 companies) with the total capital worth 32.6 million Turkish liras ($4.7 million).
The following companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through April 2020: two mining companies, 14 industrial companies, 8 construction, 107 wholesale and retail trade companies, 23 tourism companies, 3 finance and insurance companies, and 27 real estate companies.
"The remaining 71 companies with the Iranian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
In accordance with the data, the total capital of 107 wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 13.9 Turkish liras ($2.04 million).
