The export of defense industry products from Turkey to the United Arabic Emirates (UAE) grew by 47.24 percent in the past 10 months of 2020 compared to the same period of 2019 making up $168.1 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
In October 2020, Turkey exported defense industry products worth over $40.1 million to the UAE, which is 126 percent more than in the same month of last year.
From January through October 2020, Turkey exported defense industry products in the amount of $1.8 billion to the world markets, which is 13.5 percent less compared to the same month of 2019.
Over the reporting period, Turkey’s export of defense industry products made up 1.3 percent of the country’s total export volume.
Turkey exported defense industry products worth $287.9 million to the world markets in October 2020, which is 11.6 percent more than in the same month of 2019.
Turkey's export of defense industry products in October 2020 amounted to 1.7 percent of the country's total export volume.
Over the past 12 months (from October 2019 through October 2020), Turkey exported defense industry products worth $2.4 billion abroad.
