The Turkish Samsun port received 1,275 ships from January through June 2021, the Turkey Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Aug. 2.
Some 267 vessels out of those received by the port were flying under the Turkish flag, 1,008 - under the flags of other countries.
The Turkish ports received 3,917 vessels in June 2021.
Some 1,218 of them were flying under the Turkish flag, 2,699 - under the flags of other countries.
According to the ministry, the Turkish ports received 23,369 vessels from January through June 2021, including 7,341 vessels flying under the Turkish flag.
"Some 16,028 vessels were flying under the flags of other countries," the ministry said.
