Turkish Iskenderun port has received 2,638 ships from January to July 2021, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Aug.23.
According to the ministry, in the reporting period, among the received ships 460 flew the Turkish flag, and other 2,178 - flags of other countries.
In July 2021, Turkish ports received 4,204 ships, of which 1,298 flew the Turkish flag, and other 2,906 - flags of other countries.
Overall, in the first seven months of this year, Turkish ports received 29,302 ships, including 8,842 ones flying the Turkish flag, the ministry said.
The remaining 20,460 ships received by the local ports flew the flags of other countries, added the ministry.
