Turkey’s 10M2021 volume of oil products transshipped via local ports disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 14

Over 52 million tons of oil products were transshipped through the ports of Turkey from January through October 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend on Dec. 14.

According to the information, during the reporting period, ships under the Turkish flag transported 2,4 million tons of oil products through domestic ports, and ships under the flags of other countries – 49.7 million tons.

At the same time, about 40 million tons of oil products were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.

Around 318.9 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through October 2021.

During the reporting period, 25.02 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag.

Around 293.9 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through October 2021.

Moreover, 63.8 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.

Some 32.4 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in October 2021.

Around 2.4 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag, while 30.04 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries in October 2021.
