BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Steel exports from Turkiye to Iran increased by 20.5 percent (to $23.9 million) from January through May 2022 compared to the same period last year, Turkish Ministry of Trade told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
Steel exports from Turkiye to Iran decreased by 4.4 percent in May 2022 compared to the same month last year and amounted to $3.4 million.
Turkiye increased steel exports by 34.6 percent (up to $9.6 billion) from January through May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
Turkiye exported $1.9 billion worth of steel in May 2022, up 11 percent compared to May 2021.
Turkish steel exports amounted to $24.8 billion in the past 12 months (from May 2020 through May 2021).
