Baku, Azerbaijan, May 2
By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:
Death penalty can be restored in Turkey, Turkish Haber 7 TV channel quoted the country's Health Minister Mehmet Muazzinoglu as saying on May 2.
Currently, Turkey's government bodies are considering the issue regarding the restoration of death penalty in the country, the minister added.
Muazzinoglu said he considers this measure necessary, since four children have been raped and killed in Turley's various cities over the last two months.
Death penalty in Turkey was abolished in 2004 as part of the reforms aimed at the country's accession to the European Union.
