Energy ministries of Azerbaijan and Indonesia have signed a joint statement which will be a basis for the next follow up meeting, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia Sudirman Said told Trend.
"We also agreed to appoint a contact person in charge from both parties and these teams will meet very soon," said the minister.
Sudirman Said said he held several meetings with the Azerbaijani leadership and discussed the possibilities of strengthening the cooperation between the two sides.
He added that Azerbaijan can contribute to the development of Indonesia's energy infrastructure.
The minister said Indonesia consumes more energy than it produces, that's why, the country needs to develop the energy cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Said added that Azerbaijan needs diversification and Indonesia can contribute to this.
