Microsoft company will reduce the prices on software solutions for the education sector in Azerbaijan, Microsoft Azerbaijan told Trend.
Currently, a new license agreement to be signed with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education is being prepared.
"The new agreement will allow Azerbaijani universities to get licenses on more favorable terms," the company said. "The matter rests in the price decrease, additional opportunities, in particular, enabling teachers and students of all universities to use Microsoft products free of charge."
Microsoft Azerbaijan signed the Education Transformation Agreement in April. It is designed to determine the further direction of cooperation between the sides. One of the further tasks is to sign a Memorandum of Understanding as part of the expanded use of Microsoft solutions in the field of education in the country.
The ministry will be able to selectively apply these or other solutions in which it is interested in and on the most favorable terms in accordance with this document.
Currently, there are certain products delivered to the educational sphere either free of charge or at the maximal low prices. But commercial, legal and physical entities fully pay to obtain these solutions.
The corporation's initiative is of investment nature. The education sector serves as a base for enlightening the public about the importance of using licensed software.
