The Turkish parliament ratified two Turkish-Azerbaijani inter-governmental agreements at a meeting yesterday.
The parliament ratified an agreement on cooperation between the governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of copyright and intellectual property rights signed on June 30, 2005 and a supplementary agreement to the Social Security Treaty signed between the governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan on July 17, 1998.
"These agreements will come into force following their ratification by the president," the parliament said.
The Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Relations Commission developed final bills to approve the agreements at a meeting on Jan. 5, after which they were submitted to parliament for consideration.
