Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov and Turkmen President Gyrbanguly Berdymukhamedov have discussed bilateral relations during Kazykhanov's visit to Ashgabat.
During the meeting, Kazakh Foreign Minister invited Turkmen President on behalf of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to visit Astana.
Kazykhanov also conveyed the message of Nazarbayev to Berdymukhamedov, in which he expressed his approval and support of those successes in the economy, which currently occur in Turkmenistan.
Kazykhanov said today, cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan is based on centuries of common history.
Kazykhanov said construction of Uzen-Gorgan railway and Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline are among the major joint projects.
