Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Sunday expressed Iran's readiness to further expand ties with Croatia especially in economic and trade domains, IRNA reported.
He made the remarks in a farewell meeting with outgoing Croatian Ambassador to Tehran Esad Prohic at the end of his mission.
Salehi said Tehran and Zagreb enjoy many potentials to expand ties in different fields especially in the area of economic.
Pointing to the two countries' historical and cultural commonalities, he underlined expansion of communication and interaction between the Iranian and Croatian nations.
Prohic appreciated Iran's cooperation in further expanding mutual ties.
He also presented a report on his activities in different political, economic and cultural fields during his tenure in Tehran.
