Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 4 /Trend S.Isayev, T. Jafarov/

Some 200 textile factory workers of Iran's Mazandaran province have staged a protest in front of country's parliament for the second straight day, ILNA reported.

Yesterday the same workers staged the protest in front of presidential residence, however their demands were not met, thus a second protest has been staged today.

The people protested against not receiving salary for the past 27 months, and claimed the government did not fulfill its promises on handling this issue.

Another similar protest action has been held on Nov. 13, again in front of Iranian parliament, as the textile workers demanded a foreign investor to resume operation of the enterprise and payment of the wages, which have not been paid.

In 2009 the plant was transferred to the management of the Turkish businessman. The new owner has not fulfilled obligations before the workers.
