Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is to join Turkish side Galatasaray after just six months playing in China for Shanghai Shenhua, dpa quoted a Turkish media report as saying on Sunday.
Drogba, currently with the Ivory Coast national team at the Africa Cup of Nations, is to receive an 18-month contract, LigTV reported.
According to the report, the 34-year-old striker will receive 6 million euros (8 million dollars) over the length of the contract plus a one-off payment of 4 million euros and a bonus fee per match.
Eurosport Turkey said the contract was expected to be signed in the coming week. There was no immediate confirmation from the club.
Galatasaray last week signed Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan.
