BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 7
Azerbaijan’s BRAVO supermarket chain has updated its cash register solution. Currently, cashiers in all 88 shops of the chain work on touch-screen cash registers in the Set Retail system, the interface of which has been translated into Azerbaijani. With the replacement of cash register software, the retailer solved several problems at once: it stabilized data exchange between internal IT systems, received new tools for marketing campaigns, and due to the open Set Retail API, it can connect new services for business development. The first successful pilot is facial recognition for payment using the Smile Pay service.
The previous cash register software ceased to meet the requirements of the chain for the speed of implementation of functional changes. Instead, there was searched a solution that is easily scalable, guarantees stable data exchange with other information systems, and is constantly developing. It was offered by CSI company. The project started in 2020 and, despite the language barrier and serious pandemic restrictions at the stage of the circulation of the Set Retail system in the chain, CSI specialists, together with BRAVO representatives, successfully prepared and implemented it.
Preparation and integration of systems
The solution was localized for the domestic fiscal legislation, and also - for the first time for CSI - completely translated into another language. Set Retail was integrated with ERP GOLD via the Set ESB transport data bus. To support the scenario of selling electronics at the checkouts in installments, the integration of Set Retail with a local bank was added.
Employees and cashiers note the user-friendly interface. Checkouts work stably, data on goods and prices are uploaded without interruption, and the number of incidents to the support service has decreased. Set runs on free components, which saves money on purchasing Windows licenses and antiviruses. BRAVO shops totally have 683 cash desks.
The Set Retail checkout solution has a built-in loyalty block that contains the most popular mechanics from the practice of leading retailers - and it fully covers the needs of BRAVO in the implementation of marketing initiatives.
The retailer uses a "service of restrictions" - a tool that controls how many times the promotion worked. This simplifies payment transactions with suppliers, eliminates overruns of goods and abuses on the part of employees and customers - for example, in the implementation of social programs. BRAVO is implementing a discount program for retirees and social security recipients. With the additional Set Loyalty package, the retailer will be able to create their own customer database and work with it fully.
During a general modernization of processes, the chain launched an internet store in 2020 - within just three weeks, with the help of specialists of the Moscow-based AdinAdin company.
Solutions and services from the Set line support the retailer's strategy for further development. They include tools for working with online orders, advanced options for the loyalty program, the Set Prisma checkout system, and many others.
