At least five people were killed and 12 injured in an earthquake Wednesday in eastern Iran, Mehr news agency reported.
The quake of magnitude 5.5 hit the town of the town Zohan, in the Khorasan province near the provincial cities of Birjand and Ghaen.
It should be recalled that an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale took place in the cities of Varzagan and Ahar in East Azerbaijan Province on Aug.11. As a result, 300 people died and 2500 people were injured.
