Georgia, Tbilisi, 25 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Majority of Georgian citizens considers the Russian Premier Vladimir Putin as the most hostile-spirited Russian politician against Georgia. A total of 88% of people, who participated in the opinion poll held by the weekly Kviris palitra of Georgia, hold this opinion.
Vladimir Zhirinovski, the leader of the Liberal and Democratic Party, and Eduard Kokoyti, the leader of the South Ossetia separatists, ranks the second place.
The Georgian respondents consider the Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev, the Abkhazian separatist Sergey Bagapsh, the vice-speaker of the State Duma Lyubov Sliska, the vice-premier of self-declared South Ossetia Boris Chochiyev and the commander of Combined Peacekeeping Forces, General Marat Kulahmetov as ill-wisher politicians.
In a meeting with the Parliamentarian Bureau's members on 23 August, the Georgian President called as foolish the reports relating confrontations between Georgia and Russia to Putin's private motives. "I never insulted Putin, as the newspapers urge. They spread such rumors, whilst our confrontation is of systemic nature, lying between democracy and authoritarian leadership," he said.
