NATO experts on logistics are exchanging experience with their Georgian counterparts. A special conference is being held at the Old Metekhi hotel in Tbilisi.
The conference is being held in Tbilisi for the first time and 35 representatives from 21 NATO countries are attending the conference, Chief of the Georgian Defense Ministry Logistics Department Georgi Kbiltsetskhlashvili said. The NATO experts are discussing mechanism of holding peacekeeping operations with their Georgian counterparts.
"A key topic is issues of logistics, although the conference will also focus on peacekeeping exercises in Africa and Afghanistan. Our foreign counterparts are exchanging their experience with us to hold logistics operation as peacekeeping exercises in Afghanistan and Africa," Kbiltsetskhlashvili said.
The NATO logistic conference is held twice a year: one in the alliance's partner country and second - at the NATO headquarters.
