Athens has hosted the ceremony of presenting credentials by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Nurtaev to Greek President, Karolos Papoulias, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ilyas Omarov told Trend .

Omarov said the head of the Greek state noted that he is closely following the economic and political developments in Kazakhstan, as a key partner in Central Asia, stressing that Athens sought to enter the bilateral cooperation with Astana in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields to a new level.

"At the end of the meeting, President Karolos Papoulias asked to convey his best wishes to President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and invited him to visit Greece in the time convenient to him," said the spokesman.
