French President, Nicolas Sarkozy will be awarded the Altyn Kyran (Golden Eagle) order for his great personal contribution to the development of the Kazakh-French relations, the Kazakh President's press service reported.
According to Ak-Orda, the Altyn Kyran order is a sign of the highest difference degree of Kazakhstan.
The Altyn Kyran Order is conferred on citizens for outstanding public service to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh President determines nominations for the award of the Altyn Kyran Order.
French President, Nicolas Sarkozy has arrived in Astana with an official visit in the morning on Oct. 6.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported that during the visit, it is expected to sign a number of intergovernmental and commercial agreements in trade, economy, energy, military, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as to hold the business forum with participation of the Kazakh and French businessmen.
