BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger said he hopes for a solution to all the technical issues related to the increase in gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe, Trend reports.
Litzenberger made the remark during a briefing on June 9.
"There is a need today to find additional sources of gas. Last week we had Baku Energy Forum, which brought together a number of senior officials from a number of countries, including from the US. We had deputy assistant secretary Laura Lochman here. We had a lot of conversations and discussions, precisely about ways that we can address some of the technical challenges that stand in the way for Azerbaijan to increase its gas exports to Europe. We’re confident that we’re going to be able to find solutions to those issues and work through those problems," he said.
