Azerbaijan and Georgia have created platform to expand economic relations  Azeri Primer

Georgia and Azerbaijan intend to expand the economic relations, Azerbaijani Primer Minister Artur Rasizade and his Georgian colleague Zurab Nogaideli told at the end of the Azerbaijani-Georgian business-forum in Batumi on August 17, special correspondent of Trend in Georgia reports.

Our goal is to promote Georgian-Azerbaijani relations in all aspects in the near years, Rasizade stated.

According to Rasizade, Georgian and Azerbaijan have already created a platform, which in the nearest future will allow expanding economical relations between the two countries in the sphere such as oil and gas, transport, bank and energy.

Nogaideli stressed in the near years, Georgian awaits serious investments from Azerbaijan.

Georgia expects that the trade turnover between the two countries will increase by 30-35% in the near years. At the same time, Azerbaijani investments into the economy of Georgia will grow, he added.

According to Nogaideli, Azerbaijan International Bank and the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan have already announced about the investments into Georgian economy. Over the first half-year, the trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan was reported at $66.7 million.
