Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 May / Trend corr T. Abbasov/ The Supreme Court of Azerbaijan did not reduce the imprisonment period of Shahin Akhundov, son of an entrepreneur Isfandiyar Akhundov, who was arrested due to calculated homicide.
The Court reported on 6 May that the verdict made by the Appeal Court for Shahin Akhundov has been retained.
Earlier, the Appeal Court had reduced Akhundov's imprisonment term from 7 to 5 years.
In 2006, Akhundov wounded Anar Ismayilov with a gun. After that he fled from the country and was searched by the international police, to be arrested in 2007.
His father Isfandiyar Akhundov is the head of the Sharur construction company.
