Azerbaijani football club loses to Georgian club

Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan.30 / Trend corr R. Ergun / Azerbaijani football club Simurg lost in a control match in Georgia, a source at the club told Trend on Jan.30.

The club, representing Zagatala region of Azerbaijan, surrendered to Georgian club Olimpi with the score 1:2. The goal of Simurg was scored by Georgian footballer David Volkvadze. 

The club is currently holding trainings in Georgia. Heretofore, it had two matches within the trainings: with Olimpi (0:0) and Dinamo-2 (3:0). 

Head coach of the club is Ukrainian Roman Pokora. The club has completed the first round of Azerbaijani prime league and ranks third with 28 points.
