Turkmen football championship among women is first conducted in Ashgabat these days. Six teams from Ahal, Dashoguz, Lebap, Mary regions, including Ashgabat club will compete for Cup.
The tournament timed to Novruz was organized by Football Federation and the Turkmen State Committee on Tourism and Sports to introduce women to active exercises of physical culture and sport.
The championship will complete on March 25. As a result of the championship, Turkmen women squad will be formed to participate in the international competitions.
Women football makes first steps in Turkmenistan. Competitors are divided into two groups at the first stage of the competitions. Group A comprises Kopetdag (Ashgabat), Asia (Abadan) and Yildiz (Dashoguz). Group B comprises Sport (Ashgabat), Mary (Mary) and Lebap (Turkmenabat). Upon the regulations, winners of the groups will raffle main prize in final. The teams took the second places will determine bronze winner.
Kopetdag and Yildiz met in the first match of opening, the reporter of Turkmen Dovlet Haberleri state news agency describes this championship. The match was held with significant advantage of Ashgabat football players who scored unreciprocated eight goals in the first round. After the break, instructors of Kopetdag - earlier famous football players of national squad Tofiq Shukurov and Kamil Mingazov making seven replacements admitted reserve staff in the field.
Neverhtless football players of Dashoguz region could not avoid defeat - 0:12.
Roughly a half of balls fell on Bagtigul Kurbanova and Liliya Hemrakuliyeva participants of the recent international football festival in Cairo. Kurbanova scored four goals and became leader in shooters' competitions. Hemrakuliyeva scored twice Yildiz gates.
