Greek government realizes new phase of social project in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, June 19/ Trend , E.Tariverdieva / The government of Greece is implementing in Azerbaijan a new phase of social project under the auspices of the Greek Medical Institute of Patras City.

This is the continuation of the project, which began in 2005-2006, Maria Atanassio, President of BOD told journalists on June 19. The first part of the project totaled €120,000, and the second part expected €60,000. The period of the project is one year. However, according to Atanassio, the project can be continued and funding can be increased. The project covers the Sheki region of Azerbaijan.

However, in future, it is possible to expand the geography of the project. Within the project, a tubercular clinic was repaired in Sheki. A group of doctors from medical school of Patras city closely co-operate with their Azerbaijani colleagues and Ministry of Health, said Atanassio.
