The court released one of the militaries convicted of murder of commander-in-chief of the Air Forces and Air Defense Troops Rail Rzayev.
The Baku Military Court passed a decision to release chief Lieutenant-Colonel Fuad Agarzayev, who was arrested soon after Rzayev's assassination, a source at law-enforcement bodies told Trend . A sentence on his arrest was replaced by a sentence limiting his leaving of the country.
Rail Rzayev was killed near secondary school No. 172 in Ismayil bey Gutgashinli Street, 300-400m of his house in Inshaatchilar Avenue in Yasamal district of Baku at 07.30 on February 11, 2009. The Republican Military Prosecutor's Office launched criminal case into the crime in accordance with Articles 120.2.5 (deliberate murder committed on mercenary prompting or by order, as well as with a view of use a body of a victim) and 228 (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies (except for the smooth-bore hunting weapon and ammunition to it), explosives) of the Criminal Code.
Soon after the assassination eight people were arrested. The source did not inform about the details of chief Lieutenant-Colonel Fuad Agarzayev's release. Recently, the Baku Military Court released chief of Medical Service of Military Air Forces and Air Defense Troops, Lieutenant-Colonel Natig Ibayev and another officer of the Military Air Forces and Air Defense Troops, Ramin Nagiyev, who were arrested over the murder of Rzayev.
