World number one Roger Federer of the Switzerland defeated fourth seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia 6-1 and 7-5 to win the Cincinnati Masters men's singles title on Sunday, Xinhua reported.
The 15-time grand-slam champion ripped through the first set and rallied from 3-0 down to win the second for his fourth title of the year.
Djokovic led 3-0 in the second and had a set point at 5-4 before Federer held on and broke in the following game on his way to his 16th Masters Series title and his 61st career crown.
