It is necessary to develop Code Martial of Azerbaijan. The military legal provisions should be place together in a single document, Zahid Oruj, member of the Parliament's Security and Defense Committee, told Trend on Tuesday.
"This is not only my subjective opinion as similar opinions exist in international practice. The deepening of military reforms, the integration with advanced international systems, including the operative control systems, the replacement of military posts by civic ones in a number of cases, and other important steps providing public control should be determined by such a code," Oruj noted.
This would contribute to the provision of security and strengthening of defense capacity of the country, he said.
As viewed by Zahid Oruj, Code Martial of Azerbaijan is likely to be developed and adopted in future.
