The scientific results of the Institute of Geology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will be programmed with the assistance of Austrian scientists, the Institute told Trend.
Corresponding members of ANAS Hatam Guliyev and Galib Efendiyev of the Linz University acquainted themselves with the research directions and achievements of the University, operating in IT and programming field.
Meeting with the administration of the university, the Azerbaijani scientists fully informed them about the scientific results achieved by the Institute of Geology in geophysics, and drilling oil and gas wells. They discussed the possibilities of developing modern computer programs based on these results.
From the Austrian side the discussions were attended by leading specialists of the University: Bruno Buchberger, Wolfgang Freiseisen, Frederick Baldinger and Danielle Denes-Ramskogler.
The parties came to an agreement on cooperation.
Under the agreement, Linz University will share its experience in programming with the Institute of Geology.
The first phase of the work will be financed by the Austrian side.
