BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. Azerbaijan’s export value increased from January through August 2022, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to over $26.2 billion, up by 102.89 percent compared to the first eight months of 2021 ($12.9 billion).
The share of the public sector in the total export from January through August this year equaled $11.4 billion (43.66 percent of the total value), which is 71.24 percent more than in the same period last year ($6.69 billion).
The share of the private sector in Azerbaijani export over the reporting period of 2022 increased by 138.22 percent year-on-year ($5.7 billion in 8M2021), totaling $14.6 billion, which also accounts for 55.94 percent of the total export value.
Over $107 million (0.4 percent) of the total Azerbaijani export in the first eight months of 2022 fell on individuals - an increase of 30.19 percent on annual basis (against $82.2 million in the same period of last year).
Totally, Azerbaijan exported 7,423 and imported 3,246 units of goods in the reporting period, having carried out foreign trade operations with 174 partner countries.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover grew by $14.8 billion (73.1 percent) compared to the same period last year – from $20.2 billion to $35.1 billion.
