The special car is autographed by legendary recording artist and 17 time GRAMMY winner Aretha Franklin, who is this year's person of the year. Inspiration for the unique color of the CTS comes from the lyrics "Goin' ridin' on the freeway of love in my pink Cadillac" from Franklin's song Freeway of Love.
"Cadillac is tickled pink to provide a unique auction item celebrating Detroit native Aretha Franklin at this year's MusiCares gala," said George Doss, regional divisional marketing manager for Cadillac in GM's Western Region.
All proceeds from the auction go to support MusiCares, a charity which helps struggling musicians who are having financial or medical problems. This is Cadillac's fourth year as a MusiCares sponsor.
