Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 March / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / The implementation of 'State Railroad Development program for 2008- 2011' is expected to start in the early May this year. At present, the program is approved by the Government.
The cost of implementation of the program is $1.2bln. The project envisages reconstruction of locomotive and car fleet, improvement of energetic housing and reconstruction of railroad infrastructure.
Delay in the approval of the program is connected with further re-organization of Azerbaijani State Railroad.
According to the sources, delay in approving of the program may be connected with the planned work, particularly, reconstruction of the current infrastructure, but not of building a new one.
